"Good things come to those who wait"
For some reason, last week was really tough. When you want something so bad, and after the emotional rollercoster we were previously on, sometimes you doubt that it really is going to happen. Then your mind starts wandering and you wonder if perhaps our dossier fell through the cracks, or it got moved to the bottom of the pile, or got misplaced. I decided to call our Country Coordinator(Bonnie) for a little reassurance that only she could give. Don't get me wrong, Aaron is my rock, as each day goes by, he says "that just means we are one day closer." How great is that! Bonnie returned my call and assured me that none of the above mentioned things happened, and that things were moving along smoothly. When I spoke with her back on February 6th, she said that there were 5 families waiting ahead of us, 3 that requested boys, 1 either gender, and 1 requested a girl. As of today there are now only 3 families ahead of us, 1 that requested a boy, 1 either gender, and 1 requested a girl. Things are progressing.
We are hoping and praying that things move along quickly and we embrace that saying that "Good things come to those who wait"!!!!!!

Hi guys, I know exactly how you feel. I've contacted Bonnie several times and we've only been waiting a month. After reading your post I had to see when our dossier went to Taiwan to see if we were one of the families ahead of you. We are not, but it's great to see that it's progressing. Jon tells me to stop bugging them, b/c he's afraid they'll "fire" us b/c I bother them so much. But we were in contact with them almost everyday while doing our homestudy, now it's like I wonder if they remember us. Oh and I emailed Bonnie when I heard that referralls were taking OVER a year, she wrote me back and said that only one family with FHSA has gone to 11 months and they were a larger family AND that all of their families that sent their dossiers in by July '05, have rec'd their referrals. So that means you two aren't far behind, if that helps any. I know it's hard after years of infertility. KNow that I know how it feels. We ttc for 5 years, although we didn't try IVF. ok, I could go on and on..Hang in there..We're with the same agency so I'm watching your timeline carefully.
Just checked out your page and from the info you shared, it doesn't seem like it will be such a long wait. You are REALLY prepared! (The pics) My heart is with you, and here's hoping the next time I check in you'll be on your way to pick up that baby girl.
